Elmore Racing Club is a tenant club at Bendigo racecourse. Formed in 1869, the Club has raced continuosly in the area for 130 years.

 

The Club held its meetings at Elmore for 99 years before transferring to Bendigo in 1968. Until the early 1980s Elmore Racing Club conducted two non-TAB meetings at Bendigo before relinquishing one to enable the other meeting to become a feature race day.

 

Historically the Club conducted its Cup meeting on VFL Grand Final Day, however, in the early 1990s the Cup meeting was transferred to autumn. This season the Club will conduct its Cup meeting on Saturday 27 March.
