The Nordcon LAND Boxing Day Beach Party is on again in 2013, with the Wodonga & District Turf club putting on the annual post-Christmas carnival. Wodonga & District Turf Club invites you to attend the Nordcon LAND Boxing Day Races – the race day that has a little something for everyone. Come in your beach wear and enjoy the party in the XXXX GOLD Beach Party Zone. The major draw card will be the XXXX GOLD Mini Retreat, where patrons can win a $10,000 trip to XXXX GOLD Island for you and 3 mates. This superb trip will be won by one lucky race goer who enters on the day. There is also loads of XXXX GOLD promotional gear to give away. If you are one of the first 1000 people to purchase a drink in the XXXX GOLD Beach Party Zone, you’ll receive a Hawaiian lei to get you in the theme. There will also be a slushy machine available serving ice cold Lemon Lime Margaritas and Fruit Tingles. In the XXXX GOLD Beach Party Zone will be Fashions on the Field, with a twist. Categories include Best Beach Body, Worst Hawaiian Shirt and Best Beach Wear. Winners receive $100 cash and a Wodonga & District Turf Club membership, with winners selected by the audience popular vote. So come dressed up for your chance to win and make sure all your mates cheer loudly. Fashions will be run from 3pm. Also in the XXXX GOLD Beach Party Zone will be Scott Solimo blasting out tunes from inside the 20mx20m Marquee, with enough space for everyone to bust their best moves. Outside you can enjoy a game of beach volleyball on the specially built court. The kids will be entertained by Loopy the Clown and Camp Australia, with activities including jumping castles, giant slide, inflatable obstacle course, sports games, face painting, art and craft activities, crazy hair decorating and much more. This can all be found on the front lawn under the shade of the giant elm trees, next to the Club’s horse racing themed playground. The Border Ovarian Cancer Awareness volunteers will also be on course collecting donations for Ovarian Cancer Research. Donate and receive a festive Santa Hat in return. Gates open at 11.30am for the Nordcon LAND Boxing Day races, with the first of six races starting at 1.43pm.
