Geelong St Patrick's Racing Club

Geelong St Pats0409 007 913

Attendance at the Rendine Constructions Geelong St Patrick's Cup  is a great way to start your year in racing.

Being close to St Patrick's Day, a race meeting provides an opportunity for the punter and party-goer to start the year with some Irish Luck.  While there are plenty of people dressed in Green and having fun in the marquees, there are serious race-goers frequenting the mounting yard and stalls, setting up a big win.

Party-goers can revel in the sounds of the live band, coordinating Irish music with more contemporary music - alll located on the Corporate Terrace lawn with good views of the finishing post. It is very easy to bet with a tote being provided plus a bookmaker on the lawn.

Marquees, Umbrellas and Party Marquees can be hired for an enjoyable day where you have a base to come back to.  Families are catered for with childrens' entertainment and can watch the horses coming and going in the Mounting Yard.

The Club is governed by a committee of local people:

President:  Dr Joe Virgona

Vice President:  Mr Sam O'Sullivan

Committee:  Mr Pat Rowan

Sponsors for the Club

Sponsorship is vital for small Clubs like Geelong St Pats but companies gain maximum exposure on the Cup raceday.  We are pleased to welcome on board our new major sponsor for 2016 - Rendine Constructions - a local, successful Geelong company.

Other sponsors include:  Midway Ltd; Geelong Locksmiths; East Geelong Medical Centre; Australian Bloodstock; Elephant & Castle Hotel, Milana's Lingerie & Swimwear; TAC; and also new for 2016, Aglab Services.

The Club, through the generosity of its sponsors, is able to support a local charity, yet to be named for 2016.

Geelong Racing Club provides the venue for the Cup and we are very grateful for their professionalism, especially the wonderful food produced from their Chef.

The Club will hold its AGM for 2013/2014 on Wednesday 25th November in the Hibernian Hall, 150 Yarra St., Geelong.  All members are respectfully invited to attend.  The Agenda will be placed here shortly.
