Why not head out of the house and come and relax and enjoy some midweek Thoroughbred Racing at NMIT Kyneton Park.
$100,000 NMIT KYNETON CUP
Our Marquee Event each year is the NMIT Kyneton Cup which is run over 2000m on the day after the Melbourne Cup (Wed 5th Nov 2014) and attracts a crowd of around 6000 people.
Kyneton Cup Day is recognised as one of the truly great country race days and forms part of Victoria’s Spring Racing Carnival and attracts people from all over Australia and other parts of the world who now attend this day each year as part of their Melbourne Cup Week activities.
So submit those annual leave forms, pull together a group of people to come out and have a great day at the 2014NMIT Kyneton Cup.

WHY VISIT KYNETON?
NMIT Kyneton Park is situated within the beautiful Macedon Ranges, on the edge of the Campaspe River nestled amongst 100 years old Elm and Oaks Trees and is considered one of this most beautiful race courses in Australia and is only one hour's drive from Melbourne's CBD, Bendigo and Ballarat. (Please refer to the Travel and Accommodation section for more information).
Entertaining with Family, Friends and Work Colleges within a Marquee under the magnificent Elms and Oaks has become exceptionally popular over the past couple of years with over 2200 people enjoying Marquee Packages at the 2013 NMIT Kyneton Cup.
HORSE RACING AND TRAINING
Approximately 60 trainers undertake their craft from NMIT Kyneton Park with between 80-120 horses training on course each day producing approximately 2000 starters across Victoria each year. You can now check our club recordsand track information online.

|Many groups charter their own bus to come to the races. Groups can buy tickets in advance. You’ll need to purchase a ticket for every person on the bus.

|If you are coming from Melbourne by car, the best alternative is to take the Calder Freeway towards the Macedon Ranges, and then follow the signs and exit off the freeway at the second Kyneton turnoff.
At the top of the exit ramp, continue straight, travelling along Beauchamp St. Follow Beauchamp St to the end, where you meet the Campaspe River and turn right you will find the entrance to the racecourse.
|You can also catch the a VLIne train to the Kyneton Station (Bendigo Line). The Club has free shuttle buses running between the course and the Kyneton Train Station on Kyneton Cup Day. Please serach the web site on the Kyneton Cup Event Information Page or contact the club to get transfer times. (Please note that the transfer bus does not run for for any other race day).
