The picturesque Pyrenees region comes alive this ANZAC Day long weekend with the all new Festival of Racing and Tasting. The festival, which will take place in Avoca and surrounding towns, celebrates the range of produce and fine wines available in the region, as well as the vast array of activities that the area has to offer locals and visitors alike.


 
Pyrenees Pubs Night - Friday 23 April

Winery Bus-A-Bout - Saturday 24 April
Taste your way around the Pyrenees!
Hop on board for a hassle free day of Pyrenees wine and food. Arriving at participating wineries every 30-40 minutes, the Winery Bus-A-Bout tours are designed so you can hop on & hop off whenever and wherever you please. Your $20 Bus-A-Bout ticket includes your bus tour, a Pyrenees tasting glass, select wine tastings, map & wine enviro bag.

The tour will visit the following Pyrenees wineries and promises a fabulous time tasting the delights of the Pyrenees and the range of other activities the winemakers have in store.

Movie Night at the Racecourse - Saturday 24 April (after 6pm)
Enjoy a free movie on the Big Screen!

Come along to the racecourse for a BBQ, a few quiet bevies, free carnival & games, and a free family movie. This night is a great chance for locals to catch up and visitors to enjoy a free event during the festival.

Food: BYO, purchase from the Club BBQ / food vendors or bring your own picnic hamper.
Beverages: Club will have a bar open (No BYO alcohol). Coffee vendor will be oncourse.
Movie: Movie will start at on dusk (racecourse open and games start at 4pm)
Camping: Campers & Caravaners welcome at $10 per site / per night.

ANZAC Day - Sunday 25 April
ANZAC Day Dawn Service, Avoca
A reminder of the dawn landing on Gallipoli in 1915, commemorate the diggers at the dawn service in Avoca. Held in the main street of Avoca.
 
Riverside Markets, Avoca (from 9am)
Held along the banks of the Avoca River in Cambridge St, the tranquility of the surrounds adds to the enjoyment of meandering around the market. Stallholders provide a varied range of goods, including wine, crafts, fresh food, plants, garden art and clothing.
