Chief Executive Officer - Kilmore Racing Club

A unique opportunity exists to lead and manage a progressive dual code racing centre located in the thriving regional town of Kilmore. The Kilmore Racing Club conducts 30 harness race meetings and 14 thoroughbred race meetings annually, significant horse training activity, and operates a thriving bistro and gaming venue on site. The Club currently manages all aspects of food and beverage operations for all racing and non racing functions.

This challenging role is responsible for the successful delivery of harness and thoroughbred racing and will provide strong leadership to the Kilmore Racing Club and ensure the management of its business operations maximises revenue returns through the profitable conduct of racing and non-racing events and operations.

Reporting to and working with a Board of Directors your primary focus will be to oversee the development of a new strategic plan. Customer focused and with the capacity to think outside the square, a previous role has given you the ability to develop and implement strategic plans to grow revenue.

You possess excellent strategic thinking, financial acumen, event management and communication skills. Ideally you will have a sound understanding of the racing and hospitality industries as well as experience in implementing principles of good governance.

You will also be able to demonstrate a history of developing strong work teams who are committed to achieving organisational goals.
