The Swan Hill Jockey Club welcomes you to attend our fantastic facilities and join in celebrating our 11 race dates per season.  With feature events including the Swan Hill Women In Racing Girls Day Out, Murray Mallee Winter Series Racing and of course the famous Murray Downs Golf & Country Club Swan Hill June Racing Carnival, we will get your heart racing in 2012.

The Murray Downs Golf & Country Club Swan Hill June Racing Carnival has established itself as the premier country racing carnival in the state if not the country. The tip is to get in early with all local accommodation options booking out months in advance.  In 2011 records numbers in attendance were achieved with Sunday recording a huge crowd of over 4,500 people.  Don't miss this prominent date on the Country Racing calendar.

Held over the Queens Birthday long weekend in June the three-day carnival kicks off on Friday with the famous Golden Topaz. Following on from this is family day on the Saturday and then the big event, the Murray Downs Swan Hill Cup on Sunday valued at $85,000.  With pre-sales increasing each year the marquees reach as far as the eye can see down the straight. The Swan Hill racecourse is currently undergoing some major changes with the venue being transformed into a multi purpose venue. A harness track is being built alongside the current thoroughbred track to supply double the racing action from the one venue.  Works for the harness track have now commenced and we look forward to having harness on course in the coming months.  It certainly is exciting times for the Swan Hill Jockey Club and we hope you join us in becoming a member in season 2011/2012.
