Steeped in nostalgia, a visit to the Towong races is like taking a trip back to yesteryear. With Victoria's oldest grandstand, century-old elm trees and sweeping views of the majestic Snowy Mountains, a day at the Towong races is a special experience you will never forget.
The course is located 10km east of Corryong and is an easy 90 minute drive from Albury-Wodonga.

The historic Towong Turf Club has been racing horses in the magnificent Upper Murray since 1871.
The course which is one of the most picturesque in State hosts two meetings each year.
This season we race on Saturday December 27, where a 6 race card is scheduled with the feature being the Squizzy Taylor Dash over 950m.
The CUP is being held on Saturday March 7,where a 7 event program will be highlighted by running of the Costello Rural / Life Plan Towong Cup over 1600m.
FROM MELBOURNE, head northwest along the Hume Highway to Wodonga, then take the picturesque Murray Valley Highway, through Tallangatta, Corryong and then Towong. (Approx 5 Hrs)
FROM SYDNEY, head southwest along the Hume Freeway to Gundagai, and then take the Gundagai Adelong Road through Tumbarumba, Tooma, and then Towong. (Approx 6.5 Hours)
V/line and Countrylink provide frequent rail services between Melbourne and Sydney to Albury.
Qantas, Rex and Virgin fly to Albury from Melbourne and Sydney.
Brindabella Airlines offer flights between Canberra & Albury
